HT Headshots (a brand from Heads and Tails Photography) is an award winning portrait studio in Spokane, WA. Our state-of-the-art studio is located just north of downtown, just off Division Street. We focus on creating Headshots for businesses, executives, actors, and models. It's our primary focus and what we specialize in.
We're Chris and Rachel Wooley, and you've stumbled up the official "About Me" page. You get a virtual high-five for going this far. As you can probably imagine, good photography isn't just about technical skill - but also about the person behind the camera. Anyone can make a professional model look amazing - but a photographer you "click" with can make the difference between a boring picture and an amazing image. I'm chocked full of personality (and passion. And caffeine). So I'm glad you cared enough about the man behind the lens to actually click this button.
Chris is also an educator. He teaches photography classes and workshops across the country - usually geared towards photographers. It might be an advanced lighting workshop, a modeling/posing class, or teaching other photographers how to do headshots. He is also a photographic juror, evaluating images for competition. He is comitted to the industry and helping others. He is a Master Photographer, Photographic Craftsman, Fellow Photographer, and Certified Professional Photographer. He is also a councilor for the Professional Photographers of America, a Governor for the American Society of Photographers, and a Past-President of the Professional Photographers of Washington.
Chris and Rachel are both photographers and have been involved in the industry for over 15 years. We even met at a photography convention for the Professional Photographers of Washington.
We're pretty lucky. We get to do the type of photography we're passionate about. We love doing personal branding, Headshots, and Vintage Pin-up Photography. Chris geeks out about all the details, technical aspects and feeling of each of those genres. Rachel focuses on the overal aesthetic and making sure things "feel right". When we do sessions, it feels like we're playing and having a good time instead of working. It's awesome.
Rachel is an accomplshed photographer, retoucher, and manages the business "behind the curtains". She has been involved in the photography industry for over 20 years in a variety of roles. She is a Fellow Photographer and Certified Professional Photographer. She is also a Past-President of the Professional Photographers of Washington. Her images have won numerous awards and accolades over the years, including being named Washington State's Photographer of the Year.
